About ScanSeats

ScanSeats is a free route explorer for non-rev travelers and anyone open to another way there. Its Wayfinder route explorer puts gateways, destinations, and onward connections on one map.

ScanSeats is built and operated by Mentis Vision LLC, a software company in Hawaii. It is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any airline. Airline names and codes are used only to identify the flights shown.

Data sources

Mainline routes and historical loads

U.S. Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Statistics, T-100 segment data, June 2025 through May 2026. Used for international nonstop routes, domestic connecting flights, monthly departures, and historical load factors for 81 airlines.

Onward connections

Airline schedule listings from AeroDataBox (route statistics, scanned September 15, 2026) and AirLabs (routes, scanned September 14, 2026), combined into a world route snapshot dated September 15, 2026. Each onward leg names its source and date.

Maps

Map tiles from OpenStreetMap contributors, drawn with Leaflet. Country shapes from Natural Earth through the world-atlas project.

What ScanSeats does not do

ScanSeats does not sell tickets, check live seat availability, see standby lists, or confirm your travel eligibility. Historical loads describe past months; flights and schedules change. Always confirm with your airline.

Advertising

ScanSeats is free and may show a small number of clearly labeled ads. Advertisers never affect how routes are ranked or shown. See the Privacy Policy for how ads use cookies.
